YAN: The Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (Fama) is encouraging unemployed graduates to participate in its ‘KopieSatu’ franchise business.
In making the call, chairman Tan Sri Badrulddin Amiruldin said the franchise business was picking up, although it was a pioneer project, judging from the growing demand for its coffee products which were at par with other coffee
At present, there are 16 ‘KopieSatu’ outlets nationwide which offers different types of coffee processed by Fama.
“Those interested can set up shop, kiosk and caravan with an initial capital of between RM30,000 and RM100,000,” he told reporters after launching a mini carnival here.
Badruldin said apart from graduates, youths could also participate in the 1Malaysia Mobile Market entrepreneurship project which offered many household products to the poor.
He added that budding entrepreneurs could obtain financing from Agro Bank or from Tekun Nasional.
“Those who can afford it should buy a bus and convert it into a mobile market to serve the people in every area.
The bus will be expensive but Fama hopes to introduce a mobile market in every state throughout the country within one-and-a-half years,” he added. — Bernama
